DAY6’s Young K is making his comeback with his first full album on September 4th.
JYP Entertainment (hereafter JYP) released an announcement image on their official social media channels on the noon of July 31st, revealing the news of Young K’s upcoming full album titled ‘Letters with notes.’
According to the announcement, Young K will release his first full album ‘Letters with notes’ on September 4th at 6 PM and reunite with his fans.
This new album ‘Letters with notes’ is Young K’s first full album as a solo artist in about two years since his solo debut album ‘Eternal’ in September 2021. After completing his military service in April this year, earning the title of ‘Idol Singer, the First to Serve in the Army,’ Young K showcases his deepened sensitivity and continuous efforts in this regular album, unveiling a further matured musical world.
Since his debut with DAY6 in September 2015, Young K has consistently showcased his strong vocals and musical talent by participating in songwriting and composition for each album, contributing to numerous hit songs such as ‘Congratulations,’ ‘You Were Beautiful,’ ‘Letting Go,’ and ‘Zombie.’ In August 2020, he formed DAY6’s first sub-unit ‘Even of Day’ along with Wonpil and Dowoon, demonstrating a wide range of musical abilities.
‘Letters with notes’ is a well-crafted album that proves Young K’s musical prowess as an ‘artist’ who has proven himself in group activities, unit promotions, and solo releases, expressing his countless efforts and sincerity.
Young K is a trustworthy singer-songwriter and an all-around entertainer who exudes powerful energy on stage like the sun. He has been actively participating as a DJ for KBS CoolFM’s ‘DAY6’s Kiss the Radio’ since June 19th, capturing listeners’ hearts with his stable hosting and affectionate voice. Moreover, he has been performing on various outdoor festival stages, showcasing his musician identity.
Furthermore, he has been actively contributing to social responsibilities through his participation in JYP Entertainment’s music contest ‘SONGS THAT CARE,’ where he took part in writing and singing the award-winning song ‘Better Day,’ exercising his positive influence.
Young K’s first full album ‘Letters with notes’ will be officially released on September 4th at 6 PM.
