ENHYPEN (Jungwon, Jay, Jake, Sunghoon, Sunoo, Ni-ki) and Heeseung are embarking on new ventures.
On the 10th of last month, agency Belift Lab announced Heeseung’s departure from the group, confirming his distinct musical aspirations after discussions about the future and direction of the team. This led to ENHYPEN reorganizing as a six-member team.
Some fans, unable to accept the sudden change, strongly demanded his return. Additionally, some international fans staged a protest against the National Pension Service, HYBE’s major shareholder, leading the National Pension Service to state, “We do not involve ourselves in individual company management or personnel issues.”
Despite the backlash, ENHYPEN and Heeseung are steadily preparing their own paths. Notably, ENHYPEN has seen a resurgence on the U.S. ‘Billboard 200’ chart with their seventh mini-album, staying on the chart for 10 consecutive weeks and enjoying long-term popularity.
Starting in May, they will embark on the ‘ENHYPEN WORLD TOUR ‘BLOOD SAGA’.’ The tour kicks off at the KSPO Dome in Seoul’s Olympic Park from May 1 to 3 and will continue in five North American cities including Dallas, Oakland, and Las Vegas in July and August.
They will also perform in São Paulo, Lima, and Mexico City in July, marking their debut performances in South America. Having won the ‘Grupo Masculino Internacional’ award at Brazil’s ‘BreakTudo Awards 2025’ last year, their expansion into new territories is highly anticipated.
The tour will include 30 performances in 21 cities such as Macau, Tokyo, Fukuoka, Jakarta, Singapore, Milan, Paris, and London, running from October until March 2027.
Heeseung engaged with fans via a video call event on the 22nd of last month, just two weeks after the six-member reorganization, saying, “I’m okay, but I do feel a bit apologetic.”
He also revealed, “My album will be out soon,” hinting at his solo debut and his upcoming return as a musician.
As the former team members transition to individual activities, future developments are eagerly anticipated.
