K-pop group EXO is making a comeback.
On the 19th, EXO releases their eighth full album ‘REVERXE,’ signaling their true ‘return of the king’ status in the K-pop scene for 2026.
This album marks EXO’s first release in approximately two years and six months. All tracks will be available on various music sites at 6 PM today, with the title track ‘Crown’ music video simultaneously debuting on YouTube’s SMTOWN channel, attracting immense interest from fans worldwide.
The title track ‘Crown’ is a hard dance song that breaks genre boundaries by blending Atlanta trap drums, heavy metal guitar, and EDM synth. Siren effects and powerful vocals build tension, while the lyrics compare a precious existence to a crown, expressing a determination to protect it at all costs.
The performance for ‘Crown’ features symbolic elements from the EXO universe and a key dance move depicting the wearing of a crown, enhancing the music video’s appeal, which highlights the performance and is expected to captivate viewers.
The album includes notable new songs such as the warm winter track ‘I’m Home,’ unveiled at the year-end fan meeting, and ‘Back It Up,’ which was previously showcased with a powerful performance at ‘MMA 2025.’ It also features dance tracks like ‘Crazy,’ which portrays the emotions of being trapped in a love trap, and ‘Suffocate,’ delivering the pain of parting with a restrained groove.
Additionally, romantic R&B pop ‘Moonlight Shadows’ depicts a scene of shadows meeting under the moonlight, while danceable R&B ‘Back Pocket’ expresses the desire to stay close to an intriguing partner. Rhythmic pop track ‘Touch & Go’ likens the process of falling for someone to dominoes, and the mid-tempo pop ‘Flatline’ metaphorically navigates life as a voyage, completing the 9-track album.
