EXO’s Lay has issued a personal apology for missing the fan meeting.
On the 14th, Lay explained on his Weibo account that he had to urgently return to Beijing to attend a significant event at the National Center for the Performing Arts.
He reassured fans, saying, “I’ve arrived safely, so don’t worry,” and expressed his sincere apologies to the members, the agency, and everyone affected by his absence.
Lay’s absence was announced on the day of the EXO fan meeting ‘EXO’Verse’ at Incheon Inspire Arena, scheduled for 2 PM and 7 PM.
SM Entertainment stated that Lay was unable to attend the fan meeting due to unavoidable circumstances. As a result, only Suho, D.O., Chanyeol, Kai, and Sehun appeared on stage.
Meanwhile, EXO is set to make a comeback with their 8th studio album ‘REVERSE’ on January 19.
