G-Dragon

Singer G-DRAGON made his official Middle Eastern debut, completing his first performance to an explosive welcome from 20,000 fans and expanding his global reach into the Middle Eastern market.

On the 17th (local time), G-DRAGON headlined the ‘KRAZY SUPER CONCERT’ at the Dubai Media City Amphitheatre in the UAE. This marked his first official performance in the Middle East, symbolically expanding his activities beyond North America and Europe.

The concert kicked off with ‘INTRO,’ quickly energizing the venue with ‘PO₩ER.’ He continued with hit songs like ‘HOME SWEET HOME (feat. TAEYANG, DAESUNG),’ ‘Crayon,’ ‘TOO BAD (feat. Anderson .Paak),’ and ‘Crooked,’ leading the audience to massive sing-alongs.

The performance of ‘Crooked,’ in particular, featured a chorus that transcended language and nationality, demonstrating the unity of his global fandom.

G-DRAGON’s stage presence was notably complete; he actively engaged with local fans between songs to enhance the concert’s immersion. His controlled stage movements and charismatic performances solidified his status as a headliner. This Dubai concert was significant not merely as a foreign engagement but as an example of market expansion for K-pop artists.

At this Dubai performance, G-DRAGON wore a red brick-toned tailored jacket with a pink inner and black wide pants, subtly evoking the colors of Dubai’s desert.

The restrained tailoring and symbolic color combinations visually expressed his concept of connecting with local fans for his first Dubai stage. This sent a sincere message to his Middle Eastern fans while reaffirming his presence as a global fashion icon who links space and narrative through fashion.

Major international media also highlighted the news of G-DRAGON’s Dubai concert. U.S. music outlet Billboard focused on G-DRAGON as the headliner for the ‘KRAZY SUPER CONCERT’ while discussing its global expansion. U.S. economic media Forbes also introduced his first Middle Eastern stage as an example of a K-pop representative artist’s market influence.

Prominent Dubai-based English media outlets such as Gulf News and local culture and lifestyle media Time Out Dubai also reported the concert as a major cultural event. Following suit, the leading UAE daily Khaleej Times and Abu Dhabi-based national English media The National also highlighted local interest in G-DRAGON’s first Middle Eastern stage, focusing on his status as a global artist.

Meanwhile, G-DRAGON recently won ‘Best Song’ for ‘TOO BAD (feat. Anderson .Paak)’ and made it to the ‘Artist of the Year’ category, earning two awards at the ’33rd Hanteo Music Awards.’
