G-Dragon Reflects After Live Performance Controversy: “Tried to Do Too Much… I Cut My Hair”

Singer G-Dragon has shared his thoughts following the controversy over his live performance.

On December 14th, the third day of G-Dragon’s world tour encore ‘2025 WORLD TOUR [Übermensch] IN SEOUL: ENCORE, presented by Coupang Play,’ took place at Gocheok Sky Dome in Guro-gu, Seoul.

G-Dragon reunited with his Korean fans from December 12th to 14th through encore performances. The show marked the finale of the ‘G-DRAGON 2025 WORLD TOUR [Übermensch],’ which began in March in Goyang, Korea, covering 16 cities with 36 performances.

Reflecting on his busy year, G-Dragon said, “A year has passed since my comeback, and I can confidently say I have worked hard.”

However, he faced criticism over his live performances, particularly from the end of last year at the ‘SBS Gayo Daejeon’ to the opening of the current tour in March in Goyang, and most recently at the ‘2025 MAMA AWARDS’ on November 29th.

Acknowledging the controversy, he openly stated, “Honestly, trying to work hard on everything in terms of quality and quantity isn’t easy.” G-Dragon further shared, “I tried to catch both rabbits but realized it was impossible, so I cut my hair,” expressing his firm resolve to continue performing.
