G-DRAGON Reveals BIGBANG’s 20th Anniversary Plans: “Warming Up from April Next Year”

Concluding his world tour with a finale in Seoul, G-DRAGON set new standards for solo artist world tours, achieving unprecedented records and successes and solidifying his status as a ‘Living Legend.’

From December 12 to 14, G-DRAGON successfully wrapped up the ‘Übermensch’ encore concert at Seoul Gocheok Sky Dome, marking the hot finale of his 2025 world tour. With this performance, he reached over 825,000 fans across 39 concerts in 17 cities across 12 countries.

At the Seoul encore, G-DRAGON performed iconic tracks including ‘POWER,’ ‘미치GO (GO),’ ‘크레용 (Crayon),’ and ‘삐딱하게 (Crooked),’ encapsulating the essence of his world tour. The stage, culminating with the ending song ‘무제(無題) (Untitled, 2014),’ was designed to maximize emotional intensity and audience immersion.

A highlight was the ‘HOME SWEET HOME (feat. Taeyang, Daesung)’ stage, where Taeyang and Daesung made surprise appearances, showcasing their perfect chemistry. The encore performances of ‘WE LIKE 2 PARTY’ and ‘눈물뿐인 바보’ demonstrated their enduring teamwork, raising the energy to its peak. The shared music and onstage chemistry created a symbolically significant moment beyond just a finale.

G-DRAGON’s surprises extended beyond the BIGBANG stage. Joined by choreographer Bada, he performed a surprise challenge on ‘Smoke (Prod. Dynamicduo, Padi)’ during ‘TAKE ME,’ thrilling fans with intense cheers.

Reflecting on the encore, G-DRAGON said, “I’m back in Korea with an encore concert after eight months. More than the stage itself, I wanted a show with dynamic interaction with fans.” He added, “Looking back on the year, it was busy yet fulfilling. You all worked hard, too. Next year marks our BIGBANG brothers’ 20th anniversary. We’ll start warming up from April,” directly sharing plans for next year and raising expectations. A special video conveying the world tour’s meaning was also unveiled, captivating fans.

The world tour began in March in Goyang, Korea, passing through cities including Tokyo, Bulacan, Osaka, Macau, Sydney, Melbourne, Taipei, Kuala Lumpur, Jakarta, Hong Kong, Newark, Las Vegas, Los Angeles, Paris, and Hanoi, before concluding with the Seoul encore. Completing this large-scale global tour as a solo artist is a unique achievement in the domestic music scene. Through it, G-DRAGON reaffirmed his unmatched global influence and stage dominance.

The ‘Übermensch’ tour stood out for its clear concept and flow, reinterpreted through G-DRAGON’s artistic language. The stage was more than just hit songs; it expanded the message of ‘transcending existence’ through music, performance, and visuals, offering deep immersion.

The tour’s production was unprecedented in scale for a K-POP solo artist. Stage designs were reconstructed for each city, featuring dragon bike performances and stories told via large LED walls, maximizing audience engagement. Costumes and styling changed with each song, weaving music, production, and fashion into a complete performance.

Reactions across cities were impressive. Tokyo and Osaka concerts sold out even restricted-view seats after an eight-year hiatus. Macau saw over 680,000 eager ticket buyers, demonstrating exceptional popularity. Taipei and Osaka held encore performances, and Hanoi’s concert sold out in pre-sales alone, highlighting explosive demand. In Vietnam, major companies executed ‘GD shout-out’ marketing with daisies, turning the city into a cultural festival. U.S. performances drew attention from major media like Forbes, with outdoor ads across the continent, reaffirming G-DRAGON’s global presence.

This tour was not just a concert but a testament to the extent of G-DRAGON’s universe and influence as an artist. His records and achievements set new solo artist standards, cementing his status as a leading K-POP icon.
