G-Dragon’s Live Performance: Rapping Shines, Vocals Waver

G-Dragon

Singer G-Dragon thrilled fans with a stage full of hit songs. The concert, held at Gocheok Sky Dome in Seoul, was notable as his live performance skills have been a topic of discussion. G-Dragon delivered with an explosive rap, showing improved skills, although his vocals left some in doubt.

The third day of his encore performance, part of the ‘2025 WORLD TOUR [ÜBERMENSCH] IN SEOUL: ENCORE, presented by Coupang Play,’ took place on December 14. Over a packed three-day run, G-Dragon met with his Korean fans.

The encore concerts marked the grand finale of the ‘G-DRAGON 2025 WORLD TOUR [ÜBERMENSCH],’ a tour spanning 16 cities and 36 shows worldwide, starting in Korea and traveling through major cities such as Tokyo, New York, and Paris.

G-Dragon opened the encore with his comeback track “POWER,” after 7 years and 4 months, receiving a fervent response. The heat continued with a surprise stage appearance from Taeyang and Daesung during “HOME SWEET HOME.”

He stated, “I am back,” ready to pour everything into the last show of the tour. Notably, he joked about the March performance, delayed by a storm, saying, “I opened the tour with a natural disaster and waited 8 months for a roof.”

G-Dragon’s set included hits like “Heartbreaker” and “Crayon,” new album tracks such as “TOO BAD” and “BONAMANA,” and encore favorites “We Like 2 Party” with surprise appearances again by Taeyang and Daesung.

This concert drew attention following previous criticism of his live performances. He faced a backlash after the ‘2025 MAMA AWARDS’ in Hong Kong where his performance didn’t meet expectations.

Reflecting on the past year’s challenges, G-Dragon shared his efforts to balance quality and quantity, making strong moves such as cutting his hair for a fresh start. Despite improvements, vocal execution sometimes fell short, though his presence filled the venue.
