I.O.I Confirms 10th Anniversary Reunion Set for Spring 2026

I.O.I is making a comeback

Project girl group I.O.I is confirming their reunion.

During the December 22 broadcast of KBS Cool FM’s ‘Raise the Volume with Oh My Girl’s Hyojung,’ Yoo Yeon-jung spoke about I.O.I’s official return.

A listener asked, “We’ve been hearing rumors about I.O.I getting back together. Will it be early, mid, or late 2026? Please give us a hint.” Yoo Yeon-jung responded, “We had planned to surprise everyone by appearing suddenly, but since our youngest member, Jeon Somi, already mentioned it, many people are aware.”

She confirmed, “Yes, we are reuniting. I can’t share detailed information, but a concert has already been scheduled. Since we debuted in the warm spring, that’s when you can expect us. We are putting a lot of effort into this 10th-anniversary reunion, so please look forward to it.”

Earlier, Kim Sejeong also discussed I.O.I’s return in an interview following the conclusion of the MBC drama ‘River Where the Moon Rises.’

Kim Sejeong stated, “Our commitment to this is strong. Next year marks our 10th anniversary, and we believe many people are waiting for us. We have discussed meeting as a gift for our fans on the 10th anniversary, but nothing is confirmed yet.”

In an interview before her solo return in August, Jeon Somi also heightened fan expectations, saying, “We are discussing plans for the 10th anniversary. Many people are hoping for this, and we are also eager, so we are coordinating our schedules for next year.”

I.O.I formed through Mnet’s ‘Produce 101’ and debuted in May 2016, remaining active until January 2017. Members Jeon Somi, Kim Sejeong, Choi Yoo-jung, Kim Chungha, Kim Sohye, Zhou Jieqiong, Jung Chae-yeon, Kim Do-yeon, Kang Mi-na, Lim Na-young, and Yoo Yeon-jung were selected and gained widespread affection from fans.

Discussions about I.O.I’s 10th-anniversary reunion have surfaced multiple times since last year. Zhou Jieqiong, who has been largely inactive in Korea, will join the activities, while Kang Mi-na has announced her absence due to filming and promotional schedules.

Fans eagerly await I.O.I’s reunion, expected in spring 2026, especially since the group’s brief eight-month run left a lasting impact. The members’ series of spoilers has only heightened anticipation.
