Girl group IVE appeared on JTBC’s Newsroom ahead of their comeback.
On the 15th, IVE discussed their second full album ‘REVIVE+’, plans for a world tour, and the group’s growth during their Newsroom appearance.
Jang Wonyoung, who had a childhood dream of becoming a news anchor, shared her thoughts, stating, “It’s a new and exciting experience to stand in a place I’ve never been before.” During their studio visit, which coincided with the Winter Olympics, IVE extended warm wishes to the athletes, saying, “We sincerely support you all, and hope that your hard work results in great outcomes without injuries.” They then proceeded with a full interview.
Ray remarked on their achievements, “Working hard each year and receiving awards has been a big motivator. As we return with a full album, we aim to achieve meaningful results and deliver great performances.”

Last month, IVE received the Album of the Year and Best Digital Song awards for their mini-album ‘IVE EMPATHY’ and title track ‘REBEL HEART’ at the 40th Golden Disc Awards. This marked their third consecutive win in both categories. After setting a record as the first 4th generation girl group to win the Newcomer, Main, and Grand Awards at the 37th Golden Disc Awards, they have now also achieved the most consecutive wins in both Album and Digital Song categories. Liz expressed gratitude, “Receiving so many awards made me realize how challenging it is to win such substantial accolades as the years go by. We owe our ability to continue positively to our fans, DIVE.”
An Yujin responded to questions about IVE’s unique charm by explaining, “Our team name ‘IVE’ means ‘I HAVE,’ symbolizing our intention to showcase everything we possess. Rather than being defined by one color, our diverse charms are our strengths.” She jokingly added, “We’re only showing about 20% since this is just our second full album,” highlighting their confidence.
Discussions also centered on the upcoming second full album ‘REVIVE+’, set for release on the 23rd. Jang Wonyoung, who participated in writing the pre-release track ‘BANG BANG,’ explained, “Confidence and ‘self-assurance’ are key themes in this song, and I constructed the witty lyrics to enhance public enjoyment.” Elaborating on the secrets behind her positive mindset, she shared, “I believe being the main character in my own life makes me resolute when making decisions. Ultimately, it’s my life, and I’m the one who needs to solve things, which firmly guides my choices.”

Gaeul described another title track, ‘BLACKHOLE,’ as “the album’s central piece, reestablishing IVE’s sense of ‘we’ and signaling a new leap.” The members heightened anticipation for their comeback by showcasing parts of the song and its “look at me” point choreography for the first time.
Approaching their second world tour in 2026, IVE shared their excitement about meeting global fans. Leeseo said, “I’m thrilled at the thought of meeting fans from various countries and am preparing diverse performances.” An Yujin added, “We’ve developed different ways to communicate with fans on stage, and spending more time with each other has brought us closer.”
When asked about the labels they wish to be known by, Leeseo chose ‘reliable musician,’ and Ray selected ‘limitless artist,’ conveying their aspirations to continue showcasing diverse appeals since their debut.
Ahead of ‘REVIVE+’s release on the 23rd, the pre-release track ‘BANG BANG’ has already climbed domestic and international charts, signaling another hit. With the tracklist and unique content like ‘THE NARCISSISTIC GURLS CAMPAIGN’ film adding to the excitement, all eyes are on how IVE will continue the ‘IVE Syndrome’ with their music and performances.
Meanwhile, IVE’s second full album ‘REVIVE+’ and its title track ‘BLACKHOLE’ will be available on various online music sites from 6 PM (KST) on the 23rd.
