BLACKPINK’s Jennie is continuing to make history with her first solo full-length album, ‘Ruby’.
On December 1 (local time), the Recording Industry Association of America (RIAA) announced on its official website that ‘ExtraL (feat. Doechii)’, a pre-released track from Jennie’s first solo album ‘Ruby’, has received Gold certification.
With this, Jennie has received a total of four certifications from the RIAA, setting a new record for the most RIAA certifications by a K-pop solo artist. Previously, Jennie’s collaboration with The Weeknd and Lily-Rose Depp, ‘One Of The Girls’, was certified platinum, while ‘Mantra’ and ‘Like JENNIE’ received gold certifications.
Notably, Jennie has set a new milestone in K-pop history by getting three songs from her debut full-length album ‘Ruby’ certified by the RIAA.
The RIAA grants certifications based on sales of digital singles and albums, with Gold for 500,000 units, Platinum for 1 million units, Multi-Platinum for 2 million units, and Diamond for 10 million units.
