Jennie captivated the awards ceremony with an overwhelming performance after winning Artist of the Year.
On January 10, Jennie concluded the ’40th Golden Disc Awards with Upbit,’ held at the Taipei Dome in Taiwan, with a distinctive performance, taking home three awards, including ‘Artist of the Year.’
On the red carpet preceding her stage, Jennie immediately garnered attention with her red styling, evoking “Ruby itself.” She exuded her unique “Queen-like” aura, creating an exceptional atmosphere.
That evening, Jennie secured three awards: the ‘Digital Song Division Main Prize,’ ‘Global Impact Awards with Prism,’ and ‘Artist of the Year.’ This achievement solidified her status as a leading solo artist with her first full-length solo album ‘Ruby.’ She also won the ‘Digital Song Division Main Prize’ for BLACKPINK’s digital single ‘Jump,’ demonstrating success in both her solo and group activities.
Following her prestigious wins, Jennie graced the stage with performances of ‘Filter,’ ‘Damn Right (feat. Childish Gambino, Kali Uchis),’ and ‘like JENNIE.’ She showcased a broad musical spectrum through distinctly arranged pieces, brilliantly concluding the ceremony.

During the ‘Filter’ stage, she opened with an artistic expression alongside dancers, creating her distinct atmosphere. She then captivated the audience with a relaxed groove in ‘Damn Right (feat. Childish Gambino, Kali Uchis).’
Finally, the ‘like JENNIE’ stage featured powerful performances with an intense beat, elevating the excitement in the venue. Jennie, along with her mega crew, delivered a grand-scale and unique performance that electrified the audience.
Upon receiving the ‘Artist of the Year’ award, Jennie expressed her gratitude, saying, “It’s my 10th debut anniversary this year, and I’m thrilled to have come closer to my dreams. I want to express endless love and thanks to my fans. I promise to continue making great music.”
Throughout the past year, Jennie solidified her position as a global solo artist with consistent activities on prestigious international stages, establishing her unique identity across music, performance, and style, and successfully closing the year. Expectations are high for her next moves in setting new K-pop trends this year.
Meanwhile, Jennie will hold her first photo exhibition, ‘JENNIE PHOTO EXHIBITION ‘J2NNI5’,’ at Youthquake in Jongno-gu, Seoul, from January 16 to 29.
