
Kim Heung-kook publicly showed his support for fellow K-pop group BTS and their Gwanghwamun concert.
On the 25th, Kim Heung-kook posted a short video titled ‘Arirang with BTS’ on his YouTube channel, sharing his impressions of the recently held BTS Gwanghwamun concert.
In the video, Kim Heung-kook began by saying, “The BTS concert ended successfully. I am truly proud.”

He praised, “In Seoul, the South Korean capital, especially in Gwanghwamun, the whole world was amazed.”
He added, “The fans, ARMY, came, and I was so proud to see the green wave. BTS has amazed the world.”
He encouraged, “It doesn’t matter who showed up or how many. Let’s appreciate, support, and applaud BTS.”

Meanwhile, BTS released their 5th studio album ‘ARIRANG’ on the 20th. On the 21st, they held ‘BTS THE COMEBACK LIVE | ARIRANG’ at Gwanghwamun Square, officially starting their comeback activities.
The performance was significant as it featured all members of BTS reunited after fulfilling their military duties. The symbolic location of Gwanghwamun further amplified its impact.
However, reports offered varying analyses regarding the number of concert attendees.
According to Seoul’s real-time city data, about 40,000 to 42,000 people gathered near Gwanghwamun and Deoksugung as of 8 p.m. The police’s unofficial estimate was around 42,000 people. In contrast, the organizer HYBE estimated around 104,000 people attended the event.
