Global pop duo HONNE has kicked off a special project to mark their 10th anniversary, revisiting their musical journey over the past decade.
On the 6th, HONNE released the digital single “Warm on a Cold Night (10 Years),” launching their 10th-anniversary compilation album “HONNE — 10.” Starting with this single, a new digital single will be released each month from February to May, with the full compilation album set to launch on May 15.
The British pop duo first emerged around 10 years ago with the single “Warm on a Cold Night,” gaining attention for their distinctive style combining emotional lyrics, a warm and intimate sound, and modern production.
Since then, they have consistently released albums, producing numerous hits like “Location Unknown,” “Day 1,” and “no song without you,” achieving over 3 billion cumulative streams and establishing themselves as global hitmakers and singer-songwriters. They have graced the stages of key global festivals such as Glastonbury, Coachella, and Summer Sonic, and expanded their musical spectrum through collaborations with artists like RM from BTS, Tom Misch, and Khalid.
Notably, “Warm on a Cold Night” gained fame in Korea through a TV commercial, leaving a deep impression on Korean fans. HONNE’s music, featuring delicate melodies and universal emotions, has expanded their global fanbase. As they celebrate their 10th anniversary, they aim to reflect on their journey through this compilation album project.
“HONNE — 10” centers around their most beloved tracks from the past decade. By focusing on the essence of lyrics and emotions through acoustic and minimal arrangements, the album captures HONNE’s unique honesty and warmth. It promises to evoke nostalgia for longtime fans and provide deep emotions for new listeners.
The project begins with “Warm on a Cold Night (10 Years),” a reinterpretation of their debut song. This version captures the incredible emotions of falling in love with a more mature and warm atmosphere. HONNE shared their intent to “enhance the jazzy late-night vibe of the song,” envisioning it as “a version reminiscent of music drifting from a small basement bar in Seoul.”
Regarding the 10th-anniversary project, HONNE expressed, “We’ve been waiting to share this work we’ve been preparing for a long time. Revisiting the early album tracks reminds us of why we started HONNE and the significance these songs still hold for us.” They added, “‘HONNE — 10’ is both a thank you to our fans and a milestone to reflect on our roots.”
HONNE’s 10th-anniversary project will culminate in the complete compilation album “HONNE — 10,” following monthly digital single releases, on May 15.
