According to Xportsnews, ENHYPEN member Jake has demonstrated his enhanced musical abilities.
Jake appeared on ‘Limousine Service,’ which was uploaded to the ‘KBS Kpop’ YouTube channel on the 20th. He shared behind-the-scenes details about ‘Sleep Tight,’ his first self-composed track from ENHYPEN’s 7th mini-album ‘THE SIN: VANISH,’ and delivered impressive live performances of six songs, showcasing his vocal prowess.
He sang ‘Sleep Tight’ with only piano accompaniment, stripping down the original’s rich sound to highlight his trendy vocals. Jake explained that their fan club, ENGENE, often wishes them to “sleep well without dreaming,” and he reversed this sentiment in his lyrics, wishing the same for the fans.
Additionally, Jake showcased his versatile musical range by reinterpreting songs such as Justin Bieber’s ‘Love Yourself,’ Corinne Bailey Rae’s ‘Like A Star,’ Leellamarz’s ‘In the Street,’ Colde’s ‘Fall ♥,’ and Bazzi’s ‘Young & Alive’ in his unique style. After listening to Jake’s performance, Lee Mujin complimented his “voice tone that brings to mind a handsome person,” and praised its “boyish charm, enhanced by his precise pronunciation.”
Jake also contributed to the production of ‘Slight Incident,’ another track on ‘THE SIN: VANISH.’ He expressed his desire to continue working on music, noting that he found joy in the creative challenges during the album’s production.
Meanwhile, ENHYPEN, which includes Jake, released their 7th mini-album ‘THE SIN: VANISH’ on the 16th and is actively promoting it.
