
According to Xportsnews, Mexican President Claudia Sheinbaum has requested that Korea hold additional BTS concerts.
On the 26th (local time), Mexican media Proceso and Indépendant reported that President Sheinbaum sent a diplomatic letter to President Lee Jae-myung requesting additional BTS concerts in May.
President Sheinbaum emphasized, “BTS is extremely popular among young people in Mexico, and while nearly 1 million youths want to purchase concert tickets, only 150,000 tickets are available.”
She further explained that she had contacted the concert organizers to discuss the possibility of additional concerts, but they stated it was not feasible at the moment.
President Sheinbaum added that President Lee has not yet responded, but she is hopeful for a positive reply.
BTS is scheduled to perform on May 7, 9, and 10 at the GNP Seguros Stadium in Mexico City, which can accommodate 65,000 people.
Meanwhile, BTS will release their 5th studio album “Arirang” featuring 14 tracks on March 20 at 1 PM. Following this, they will embark on a world tour covering 34 cities across North America, Europe, South America, and Asia, starting at Goyang Sports Complex Main Stadium on April 9.
