Min Hee-jin, formerly CEO of ADOR, is set to hold a press conference today (February 25) after securing a first-trial victory against HYBE.
Her newly established entity, OK Records, announced via official email on February 24 that the press conference is scheduled for today, February 25.
According to the announcement, the press conference will take place at 1:45 PM in Jongno-gu, Seoul, where Min will discuss the results of the first trial and her future plans.
The Seoul Central District Court’s Civil Division 31, led by Presiding Judge Nam In-soo, dismissed on February 12 a contract termination lawsuit filed by HYBE against Min and others.
Additionally, in a lawsuit filed by Min against HYBE regarding the exercise of a put option, the court ruled that Min’s exercise of the option was legitimate and ordered HYBE to pay approximately 25.5 billion KRW.
HYBE has appealed the first-trial decision, escalating the legal battle to a second trial. Furthermore, HYBE filed for a suspension of execution until the appeal trial’s conclusion, which the court granted.
Min sought to seize HYBE’s assets (bank accounts), but the court accepted HYBE’s request for suspension, preventing the seizure from proceeding.
This will be Min’s fourth press conference. She held her first in April 2024 amid a management dispute with HYBE, followed by another in May immediately after the decision to retain her position as ADOR’s CEO.
The third press conference, held last month, concerned ADOR’s lawsuits for damages and contract termination involving some NewJeans members. It was convened urgently without Min’s attendance, as her legal representative expressed their position.
