‘On the Map’ is a global adventure featuring K-pop idols who travel the world, taking on hidden challenges in various locations to complete a unique map. This journey, set against the vast backdrop of Mongolia, featured the group NCT Wish, which brought both laughter and relatable moments through their diverse activities in unpredictable situations.
Notably, ‘On the Map’ sparked a trend of voluntary repeat viewings due to its engaging content. During its airing period, cumulative views across platforms, including social media, surpassed 46 million as of March 1. Each week’s live broadcast saw related keywords such as Mnet Plus, NCT Wish, and ‘On the Map’ dominate the top positions on X (formerly Twitter) real-time trends, showcasing its high popularity.
‘On the Map’ debuted as a new travel variety show on CJ ENM’s global K-pop content platform Mnet Plus, achieving remarkable success in both platform traffic and activation. During its airing, it attracted approximately 20,000 new subscribers and ranked first in January for Mnet Plus viewership in South Korea. Global users from 186 regions, including Japan, Indonesia, and China, accessed the platform. Additionally, it expanded its dense viewership beyond Asia to the Americas, Europe, the Middle East, and Africa. Real-time comments and likes saw an explosive increase of over 230% compared to previous episodes.
Global viewers were completely captivated by ‘On the Map’ thanks to the authentic sincerity of the NCT Wish members and the meticulous planning of the production team. From surprise dance challenges to thrilling activities, the members fully embraced every moment despite unfamiliar environments, showcasing their growth.
