Group Newbeat is causing a sensation in the U.S. music market with their reverse trend.
The group Newbeat consists of Park Min-seok, Hong Min-sung, Jeon Yeo-young, Choi Seo-hyun, Kim Tae-yang, Jo Yoon-hoo, and Kim Ri-woo. Today (12th), they achieved the remarkable feat of reaching number one in six categories on Amazon Music in the U.S. with the double title track “Look So Good” from their mini-album “LOUDER THAN EVER.”
“Look So Good” topped six charts, including “Far East & Asia Best Sellers,” “Songs Hot New Releases,” “International Hot New Releases,” “Far East & Asia Hot New Releases,” “Movers & Shakers,” and “International Best Sellers.” Additionally, it ranked fifth on the “Songs Best Sellers,” proving their reverse trend momentum on major charts.
Previously, “Look So Good” was listed in seven countries on the iTunes chart immediately after its release on November 6th. On the U.S. music platform Genius, it ranked 80th on the weekly Top Pop Chart, the only K-pop artist to make the chart at the time.
This achievement is attributed to Newbeat’s global strategy centered around English lyrics for all songs and collaboration with renowned international producers. The album features contributions from top producers like Neil Ormandy, who has collaborated with Billboard Top 10 artists, and Candace Sosa, known for work with BTS.
Newbeat continues to achieve significant results by not only entering global charts but also winning their first rookie award. Furthermore, at 12 noon (local time) on the 12th, they released the Chinese version of “Cappuccino,” beginning their activities in the Chinese-speaking regions. The spotlight is now on Newbeat’s future endeavors as they actively continue their promotions.
Meanwhile, Newbeat is set to hold their debut solo concert “Drop the NEWBEAT” on January 18, 2026, at 5 PM at YES24 Wonder Rock Hall.
