Female rapper Jvcki Wai has sparked controversy by sharing photos and messages alleging dating violence.
On the 12th, Jvcki Wai posted several photos showing clear signs of assault on her account, along with a message saying, “I couldn’t go outside for two weeks.”
She revealed that the alleged abuser sent messages like, “Honey, I’m sorry. I’m in front of your house. I’ll do better, please forgive me,” and made numerous missed calls. Jvcki Wai added, “He cursed at me when I didn’t open the door afterward.”
Explaining why she posted the photos and screenshots, she said, “For those wondering why I posted this on Instagram and acted like a victim, he pounded on my door and tried the passcode for an hour. He didn’t let me leave his house on the day I was beaten. This was the only way to completely end it. Since I posted this, he hasn’t contacted me. Sorry if this makes anyone uncomfortable.”
She also wrote, “Thanks to the KC people who helped me release my album. I stayed silent because I didn’t want to cause trouble. Please don’t blame other KC artists or the company because of this,” suggesting the person involved is associated with the KC label.
KC label producer Bang Dal acknowledged being the subject of her allegations by posting on his account, “If you don’t know anything, just shut up,” and “I was the one beaten and insulted, and here she is making me look bad using injury photos while stopping chaos.”
On the 14th, Jvcki Wai added to her statement, admitting, “I slapped him because I was constantly battered. But 99% of the beatings and curses were directed at me, and you’re trying to ruin me by only showing your side. You’re unbelievable.”
She explained, “It started with small objects like an electronic cigarette, then a water bottle, a pot, and grabbing my collar. When he grabbed my collar, I reported it to the police and called KC’s manager to apologize, saying the album might not come out because of this. He tearfully apologized, so I took him back because I felt sorry. Looking back, I should have ended it then, and I regret it.”
She added, “When I blocked him, he would come and beg repeatedly. He justified abusive language as things said out of anger. I became used to it and handled it carelessly. But the day before yesterday, he said he’d kill everyone and end it all. I just wanted to live and hoped to break up by revealing this.”
An AOMG representative told Xportsnews on the 15th that they are “checking” into Jvcki Wai’s claims of dating violence.
