Pacific Music Group (PMG) has appointed music producer Samuel Ku as the head of its Korean branch.

PMG, which recently announced the establishment of its Korean branch, stated on the 1st that it has appointed Samuel Ku, an expert in the domestic music industry, as its head. This marks a significant step towards discovering K-Pop artists and supporting their overseas advancement.

PMG was founded by U.S. R&B star Ne-Yo, along with Sonu Nigam and Jonathan Serbin. The label aims to discover and nurture Asian artists to introduce them to the global market.

Samuel Ku, the new head, is a veteran music producer and composer with over 15 years of experience in the entertainment industry. He has worked with prominent domestic artists including GOT7, Olivia Marsh, and f(x).

Combining Samuel Ku’s expertise and network, PMG plans to operate labels across various genres such as pop, R&B, hip-hop, and electronic, while focusing on content production that reflects Korea’s musical color.

Samuel Ku emphasized that “the launch of Pacific Music Group Korea marks an important starting point in our global strategy and will serve as an opportunity to organically connect markets worldwide with a clear artistic vision.”

He continued, “We will focus on connecting artists with the world and achieving sustainable growth through meaningful partnerships that go beyond culture, communities, and borders,” outlining the direction of PMG Korea.

PMG Korea plans to accelerate its approach to the global music market by sequentially recruiting various artists alongside Samuel Ku.
