According to Xportsnews, former 2NE1 member Park Bom has stirred controversy by involving fellow member Sandara Park in past drug allegations. Sandara Park’s representatives refuted the claims as “groundless.”
On March 3, a close aide to Sandara Park told Xportsnews that Park Bom’s claims involving Sandara Park in drug allegations were unfounded, and that Sandara Park is concerned about Park Bom’s current health.
Earlier that day, Park Bom revealed through her account that she was diagnosed with ADD (Attention Deficit Disorder), and expressed frustration over being embroiled in drug controversies due to prescription medications used during her treatment.
In June 2014, it was revealed that Park Bom had shipped Adderall, which contains amphetamine, from the U.S. to Korea in 2010. Adderall is a psychotropic medication used to treat ADHD, and prosecutors, after confirming it was for treatment purposes, deferred her indictment.
Expressing her frustration with the situation, Park Bom further claimed, “Sandara Park was caught for drugs, and to cover it up, I was labeled a drug addict.”
In response to Park Bom’s claims, Abyss Company, with which Sandara Park was affiliated, told Xportsnews, “Sandara Park’s contract has expired, making it difficult to verify the facts.”
Subsequently, a close associate of Sandara Park distanced her from the drug allegations and expressed concern for Park Bom, who is currently undergoing treatment.
