The group BTS appeared on “The Zane Lowe Show” to discuss their new album “ARIRANG.”

According to Apple Music, this episode featured an interview in which Apple Music’s Global Creative Director, Zane Lowe, met BTS at HYBE’s office in Yongsan, Seoul.

The episode included candid conversations about their long-awaited return to music, the process of making the album, their reflections on reuniting after completing military service, and the special bond they have maintained as a group.

Jin shared his joy of living with the members again in the U.S., saying, “Living together for such a long time and having meals at set times was an absolute delight and happiness.” RM added, “It was truly a surreal experience,” remarking that their two months spent together in LA was a pivotal and dream-like time.

Zane Lowe took note of the significance behind the album’s title and core keyword “ARIRANG.” RM explained, “Choosing ‘ARIRANG’ as a keyword felt natural. It’s a traditional Korean song that encapsulates longing and nostalgia within its abstract lyrics. During our military service, we reminisced about the moments we shared and our fans, and we wove these emotions into the album.”

J-Hope described the musical identity of the project, saying, “Through this album, we wanted to portray much of our roots and identity, the aspects we, as Koreans, wanted to share. This approach seems to have come together sincerely and straightforwardly.”

The members also reflected on utilizing their military service as an opportunity for growth. Jimin expressed, “I’ve realized deeply how precious it is to work passionately on something,” adding that he continued to practice with Jungkook even during their time in the military, underscoring their unwavering passion for music.

Jungkook shared his thoughts on returning to the group, saying, “It felt more natural than solo activities. It seemed only natural, given that we’ve always done things as a team.”

Zane Lowe confirmed the members’ strong determination for the group’s future. When asked, “Can you continue forever?” Suga confidently stated, “I believe we can keep going even when we’re 80 or 90 if we want to.” V added, “We just need to keep trying to maintain this for as long as possible.”

Concluding the interview, RM expressed a profound affection for the members and the fans. He said, “We still love each other so much, that’s why we’re still here,” adding, “We have our fans and no reason to part with this precious brand and family. These people define my youth, and I don’t want to miss this opportunity.” He noted he doesn’t want to look back and think, “We should’ve kept going.”
