The group TWICE has donated to the relief fund for the Hong Kong apartment fire victims.
On the 4th, JYP Entertainment announced on Weibo, “TWICE has donated 1 million Hong Kong dollars (approximately 188 million KRW) through Hong Kong World Vision.” The donation from TWICE will be used for emergency relief activities such as providing temporary shelters for affected children and residents, psychological support, educational support, and livelihood assistance.
TWICE, set to be the first K-pop girl group to perform at Hong Kong’s Kai Tak Stadium on December 6th and 7th, made a decision to proceed with their performance after deep consideration and careful discussions amid the heavy circumstances. They plan to carry out their concert with deep condolences.

We are deeply saddened by the recent news of the fire in Hong Kong. All members of TWICE also feel immense sorrow. TWICE plans to support emergency relief by donating 1 million Hong Kong dollars to Hong Kong World Vision to provide temporary shelters and psychological support for affected children and residents.
We sincerely hope that all affected residents can overcome their pain quickly and regain stability, and we express our deep condolences to the victims. We also express deep respect to the rescuers who remained dedicated in the crisis.
Regarding TWICE’s performance scheduled in Hong Kong from December 6th to 7th, we held in-depth discussions and careful considerations about whether proceeding with the performance is appropriate given the somber circumstances. After closely monitoring the local situation and holding numerous discussions with the promoter Live Nation, we have decided to proceed with the performance as planned at Kai Tak Stadium. Given the gravity of our decision, we will prepare and operate the concert with a solemn attitude.
Once again, we express our deep condolences to those who lost their lives in this unexpected accident and sincerely comfort the bereaved families and all others facing great difficulties due to this fire. We truly hope that the situation stabilizes quickly and that the affected areas recover soon.
