Hello, this is JYP Entertainment.
We are deeply saddened by the recent news of the fire in Hong Kong. All members of TWICE are feeling immense sorrow as well. TWICE will donate 1 million Hong Kong dollars through World Vision in Hong Kong to provide temporary shelter and psychological support as part of the emergency relief.
We sincerely hope that all affected residents will overcome their pain quickly and regain stability. We express our deep condolences to the victims and our utmost respect to the rescue workers who remained dedicated until the end.
Regarding TWICE’s scheduled performances in Hong Kong on December 6th and 7th, we engaged in thoughtful discussions and careful considerations about whether it was appropriate to perform amidst such sorrowful circumstances. After continuous and close observation of the local situation, and several consultations with the organizer Live Nation, we decided to hold the concert as originally planned at Kai Tak Stadium. We will do our best to prepare and operate the concert with the seriousness that this decision warrants.
Once again, we offer our deepest condolences to those who lost their lives in the unfortunate accident, and heartfelt comfort to the bereaved families and all those experiencing great difficulties due to this fire. We sincerely hope for a swift recovery and stabilization of the affected area.
We stand with Hong Kong and will overcome this challenge together.
