TWICE’s MISAMO Meets Takeru Satoh

트와이스 미사모

TWICE unit MISAMO released a highlight medley video for their first full album in Japan, drawing attention with its diverse appeal.

MISAMO will release their debut Japanese full album ‘PLAY’ on February 4. Following the pre-release of the title track ‘Confetti’ and its music video on the 16th, the unit unveiled the album’s highlight medley video on their official social media channels at midnight on the 26th.

The video features a surprise appearance by actor Takeru Satoh and opens with an audition to crown the true ruler. Mina displays independence in choosing what she wants in her solo track ‘Turning Tables’. Sana embodies the strength within softness, portraying a figure universally admired in ‘Ma Cherry’. Momo shines through chaos in her solo performance of ‘Kitty’.

After the stage, just before results are announced, Mina, Sana, and Momo confront judges attempting to impose penalties. They ultimately triumph, concluding the video with all three wearing crowns. In addition to the three solo tracks, the album includes ‘Deep Eden’, ‘Hmm’, and ‘Not a Goodbye’, enhancing the theatrical presentation.

The highlight medley video, featuring popular actor Takeru Satoh as the audition host, sparked increased viewer interest. The concept of the full album ‘PLAY’ aligns with theatrical themes. This collaboration with Satoh, a popular actor in Korea and Japan who readily accepted the suggestion, created an exciting venture for the members.

MISAMO’s first full album ‘PLAY’ serves as the culmination of a trilogy, following their debut album ‘Masterpiece’ in July 2023 and mini-album ‘HAUTE COUTURE’ in November 2024. Through these works, the group expressed a classic and elegant aura, truly living up to the titles ‘masterpiece’ and ‘supreme’ musical works. Featuring 12 tracks including the title ‘Confetti’, ‘PLAY’ will be officially released on February 4.
