The group TWS has added another trophy to their collection at a major year-end awards ceremony, further proving their global popularity.

TWS (members: Sinyu, Dohun, Youngjae, Hanjin, Jihoon, Kyungmin) received the ‘Best Musician’ group award at the ’10th Anniversary Asia Artist Awards 2025 (AAA)’ held at the Kaohsiung National Stadium on December 6th. This is their second consecutive win, having secured the ‘Rookie of the Year’ and ‘Best Artist’ awards last year.

TWS expressed their gratitude by saying, “It’s an honor to receive such a meaningful award on the 10th anniversary of the ‘AAA’. We thank our fans, 42, who support us unwaveringly. We aim to continue being artists that 42 can be proud of.”

During the event, TWS demonstrated their explosive energy, living up to their title of ‘Next-Gen Performance Powerhouse,’ by closing out the first half of the show. Jihoon opened with ‘Head Shoulders Knees Toes’ by portraying a solo performance of wandering through a chaotic dream, followed by an exhilarating group performance with additional dancers that captivated the audience.

The stage for ‘OVERDRIVE’ featured an uplifting melody where TWS depicted a return to reality from a dream. They made dynamic use of the 360-degree open stage, thrust stage, and LED lifts, delivering a thrilling performance that electrified the audience. The stadium seats became a rainbow with fans waving light sticks in time with the lyrics “heart pounding.”

During the interview, the popular ‘Aegyo Challenge,’ which took the past year by storm, became a hot topic again. This challenge, using the ‘OVERDRIVE’ choreography, highlights a cute gesture to the lyric “Umm.” Following Dohun and Kyungmin’s demonstration, top stars seated in the artist section participated in the challenge, to the delight and laughter of the audience. Right after the broadcast, ‘TWS stage,’ ‘Head Shoulders Knees Toes,’ ‘Aegyo Challenge,’ and ‘OVERDRIVE’ trended on X (formerly Twitter), showcasing the high level of global fan interest.

Meanwhile, TWS has been making significant achievements on global music charts throughout the year. According to Billboard Japan’s 2025 annual chart (covering November 25, 2024, to November 23, 2025), their mini-albums ‘play hard’ and ‘TRY WITH US’ ranked 38th and 57th, respectively, on the ‘Top Albums Sales.’ Their Japanese debut single ‘Nice to see you again’ (Japanese title はじめまして) ranked 49th and their first single ‘Last Bell’ ranked 75th on the ‘Top Singles Sales.’ Fueled by this popularity, TWS reached 46th on Spotify’s ‘Top Groups of 2025 Japan’ ranking for the year.
