Girl group XG has released their first studio album, ‘THE CORE – 核’, delving into the essence of music.
XG (composed of Jurin, Chisa, Hinata, Harvey, Juria, Maya, and Cocona) launched ‘THE CORE – 核’ globally across major music sites at midnight on the 23rd. The music video for their lead track, ‘HYPNOTIZE’, will further heighten comeback excitement, set to be unveiled on their official SNS channel at 7 PM on the same day.
XG’s first full-length album, ‘THE CORE – 核’, moves beyond fleeting trends and embellishments to focus on the core of music and existence. It features a total of 10 tracks: ‘XIGNAL (The Intro)’, ‘GALA’, ‘ROCK THE BOAT’, ‘TAKE MY BREATH’, ‘NO GOOD’, ‘HYPNOTIZE’, ‘UP NOW’, ‘O.R.B (Obviously Reads Bro)’, ‘4 SEASONS’, and ‘PS118’.
The lead track, ‘HYPNOTIZE’, stands out as a house number blending a fantastic sound with a rhythmic piano, creating a strong sense of immersion that blurs the lines between reality and dreams. The song explores themes of allure and hypnosis, depicting an irresistible narrative that draws listeners into XG’s rhythm and world with its captivating gaze and atmosphere.
Beyond mere charm, ‘HYPNOTIZE’ encapsulates confidence, independence, and XG’s unique intense energy. Prior to the track’s release, XG had already garnered global attention by sequentially unveiling visual and music video teasers for ‘HYPNOTIZE’ featuring all seven members. Despite their brevity, the videos’ captivating visuals and sounds left a strong impression, significantly raising anticipation for the full music video.
Following their return with ‘THE CORE – 核’, XG will showcase the performance of their lead track ‘HYPNOTIZE’ on KBS 2TV’s ‘Music Bank’ on the 23rd. They are also scheduled to meet fans at an offline fan signing event in Korea on the 31st.
