K-pop group BABYMONSTER is preparing for a comeback.
YG Entertainment announced on the 30th that BABYMONSTER’s third mini-album, [CHOOM], is slated for release on May 4. YG Entertainment made the announcement on its official blog under the title ‘BABYMONSTER 3rd MINI ALBUM [CHOOM]’. Following executive producer Yang Hyun-suk’s 2026 YG plan announcement, the agency also unveiled a motion teaser hinting at the new mini-album’s concept.
The dynamic visuals of the video are striking. A racing car, accompanied by a powerful beat, begins to race with a roar, and the ‘CHOOM’ logo appears clearly along its path, raising viewers’ heartbeats.
Fans’ expectations are high for the powerful motion teaser, which hints at a unique concept. Although specific details remain under wraps, executive producer Yang Hyun-suk previously hinted at “a new album like never before,” generating significant interest in BABYMONSTER’s upcoming transformation.
YG stated, “The third mini-album [CHOOM] captures the electrifying moment of becoming one with music and dance, as suggested by its title. We have put a lot of effort into this work so that you can feel BABYMONSTER’s expanded musical spectrum across all tracks, led by the title track of the same name.
