RM, the leader of BTS, shared his thoughts on reaching their 10th anniversary.
On the 13th, which marked BTS’s 10th debut anniversary, RM posted a lengthy message on the fan community platform Weverse.
RM opened up by saying, “They say the landscape changes in ten years, and it’s true. It feels like I’ve become a completely different person since my twenties and thirties.”
He expressed his gratitude, saying, “Thanks to all the ARMYs and the countless people who supported us, we had a truly special experience that we will never forget.”
RM also admitted, “I’m still very inexperienced. I’ll probably continue to feel unfamiliar, anxious, and even painful in the future. But I’ll keep moving forward.” He extended his greetings to the members, staff, family, friends, and ARMYs, saying, “Thank you for your hard work.”
Lastly, he concluded with, “Let’s live well together for another ten years, in this damn world. I love you.”
Recently, BTS celebrated their 10th anniversary with the theme “BTS PRESENTS EVERYWHERE” and are currently conducting the FESTA (2023 BTS FESTA) with their fans. In particular, on the 17th, they will hold the “BTS 10th Anniversary FESTA” at Yeouido Hangang Park, featuring exhibitions and experiential programs.

“They say the landscape changes in ten years, and it’s true. There were numerous ups and downs. There were so many forgotten dawns. It feels like I’ve become a completely different person since my twenties and thirties. Now, even the old me feels unfamiliar.
It’s really special when words are enchanted. From one noun to becoming a pronoun. From ‘Bangtan’ to ‘Bangtan,’ from ‘ARMY’ to ‘ARMY’… There were many storms and love. Perhaps nobody else can understand the world we built for ourselves.
Thanks to all the ARMYs and the countless people who supported us, we had a truly special experience that we will never have again. Looking back, even though I sometimes indulged in reminiscence, I was always rushing out the door without a break. Even now, I’m still trying to gauge the second act of our journey. It feels like anything is possible. The concerns and dualities we had at seventeen and twenty are still valid.
As I gradually become an adult, I’ve realized that there are so many things in the world that cannot be explained through words and writing. And the things that seemed unchangeable will eventually change. Also, the birth of a single ‘name’ requires the strength and love of so many people.
I’m still very inexperienced. I’ll probably continue to feel unfamiliar, anxious, and even painful in the future. But I’ll keep moving forward. Separately, but also together. Distant, but close. I hope I exist for you, and you exist for me. To the members, staff, family, and friends! And to the ARMYs! Thank you for your hard work.
Let’s live well together for another ten years. In this damn world!
I love you.
