YG Entertainment has made a statement regarding the contract renewal of the group Blackpink.
A representative from YG Entertainment stated on the 12th, in response to an article suggesting uncertainty regarding Lisa’s contract renewal, that “it is due to tour and personal schedules, and it is unrelated to the contract decision.”
They also cautiously mentioned that the contract renewal for all Blackpink members is currently under discussion.
Previously, on the 12th, Munhwa Ilbo reported, citing a source from China, that there is a high possibility of Lisa’s contract renewal falling through. It was reported that a Chinese agency stated that it is difficult to negotiate schedules with Lisa after August due to the uncertainty surrounding her contract renewal.
Furthermore, it was added that the contract renewal for the other three members, excluding Lisa, is progressing relatively smoothly.
