Hollywood actor Tom Holland has announced that he will take a year-long hiatus.
On the 7th (local time), Tom Holland revealed in an interview with foreign media that he will take a break for a year following Apple TV+’s “The Crowded Room.” He also participated in the production as the lead actor and producer.
Tom Holland expressed, “It was obviously a challenging time. I had to experience emotions that I had never experienced before. It was burdensome to handle everyday issues that arise on the set as both an actor and a producer.”
He added, “I plan to take about a year off because this project was that demanding. I’ve always lived with the belief that working hard is good, but now it’s a time when rest and recharge are needed.”
However, he revealed his anticipation for the project, saying, “It was tough, but it was also enjoyable. I’m excited to see how the project turns out. I don’t think my efforts were in vain.”
In a previous interview with EW (Entertainment Weekly), he confessed that he had a mentally challenging time while filming this project. He said, “I had many conversations with psychiatrists to understand the character, and after filming was over, it was difficult to transition back to reality from the character.”
Meanwhile, “The Crowded Room” is a 10-part series that depicts the story of a man involved in the 1979 New York shooting incident and subsequently arrested. Tom Holland portrays the character of Danny Sullivan, who finds himself in dire straits after being arrested for a crime he didn’t commit.
