
Tving Original’s “Villains” features Yoo Ji-tae and Lee Min-jung embarking on a perilous collaboration.
On the 18th, the Tving Original “Villains” will be released, with character stills of Yoo Ji-tae and Lee Min-jung unveiled on the 9th. The series captures the intense clashes and confrontations surrounding the ultra-precise counterfeit currency “Supernote.” This super crime action show is set to simultaneously release across Asia-Pacific, Japan, and Korea via global streaming services.

Director Jin Hyuk, known for successful works like “Sisyphus,” “The Legend of the Blue Sea,” and “The Master’s Sun,” helms the project, with Kim Hyung-jun of “No Mercy” writing the script, promising a unique crime action film.
The exciting meeting between Yoo Ji-tae and Lee Min-jung in new roles has drawn significant anticipation. The released images feature Jae (played by Yoo Ji-tae) and Han Soo-hyun (played by Lee Min-jung), beginning the “Supernote” game. Jae’s sharp gaze with the counterfeit currency seizes attention. A genius crime planner with a flawless track record, Jae turns the world upside down with his meticulously calculated schemes.

Han Soo-hyun, a top currency artist, disguised as a casino dealer, joins forces with Jae in the “Supernote” game. After a life-altering event, she seeks revenge, aiming to turn the tables. Her role in the ruthless villain conflict sparks curiosity.
The tension between Jae and Han Soo-hyun, hiding different desires while collaborating, adds intrigue. Will they achieve their individual goals within the “Supernote” game of collaboration and betrayal?
Yoo Ji-tae remarked, “Writer Kim Hyung-jun’s detailed script was impressive, and I was delighted to work with director Jin Hyuk,” highlighting Jae’s unique charm as a distinctive villain with an unmatched rhythm, stimulating interest.
Lee Min-jung shared her reasons for choosing the role, describing it as compelling and intriguing. She expressed excitement about playing a strong character battling adversity and looked forward to the premiere.
Meanwhile, “Villains” will air its first and second episodes on Tving on the 18th at 6 PM, and will also be available through HBO Max in 17 Asia-Pacific countries and regions, as well as Disney+ Japan.
