The film ‘The Running Man’ has been making waves with a Cine21 Masters Talk featuring directors Bong Joon-ho and Edgar Wright.
‘The Running Man’ is an action blockbuster about Ben Richards (played by Glen Powell), an unemployed man who must survive relentless pursuers for 30 days in a global survival game for a huge cash prize.
The Masters Talk between directors Bong Joon-ho and Edgar Wright, released on the official Cine21 YouTube channel, has captured attention.
The two directors, long-time friends and fans of each other’s work, exchanged stories about various aspects of the production, including casting, music, filming, and directing, raising anticipation for the film before its release.

Director Bong remarked, “I love Edgar Wright’s signature adrenaline-pumping direction. Even amidst the spectacular action, Ben Richards’ emotions and intensity burst through the screen, setting it apart from other action films. It could have been titled ‘Angry Man’ instead of ‘Running Man.'” He praised Edgar Wright’s directing and Glen Powell’s performance, highlighted during the explosive action sequences.
He humorously added, “Share your directing secrets with fellow directors, let’s thrive together,” to which Edgar Wright cheerfully responded, “I think the same when I watch Bong Joon-ho’s films,” completing the jovial exchange.
‘The Running Man’ is set to be released on the 10th.
