The web variety show ‘Director Goh Chang-seok,’ a favorite of BTS’s Jungkook, is set to return after a hiatus.
Previously airing every Tuesday at 7 PM, ‘Director Goh Chang-seok’ is a mockumentary series that blurs the lines between reality and fiction with its hyper-realistic episodes.
The show features Goh Chang-seok as a once-successful but now struggling director, alongside his assistant director, singer Ozone. Together, they create a unique world with episodes that often feel more real than reality itself.
Season 1 garnered attention for its star-studded guest list, including actors Park Seo-joon, Lee Mi-do, Heo Jun-seok, and Yang Hyun-min, who enhanced the show with their skilled performances. It became known as a ‘star guest hotspot’ and gained further popularity after being recommended by BTS’s Jungkook.
Returning for Season 2, actor Goh Chang-seok commented, ‘I didn’t begin with a specific goal of reaching one or two million subscribers. I simply thought it would be enjoyable, and I approach it with the mindset of savoring each day. I hope the day comes when I can make a movie, and I ask for your continued love and support.’
For Season 2, singer-songwriter George joins as a new cast member, taking over from singer Ozone in the assistant director role. George, known for his unique charm and established music career, is expected to bring a fresh dynamic alongside Goh Chang-seok. The season will portray two men, sincere about love despite their rugged exteriors, under Goh Chang-seok’s guidance.
The first episode of Season 2 will feature the initial encounter between Director Goh Chang-seok and the earnest young man, George. With investment and casting plans falling through, the episode will explore the storyline where George is offered the assistant director position.
