
Choi Sooyoung warmly congratulated her Girls’ Generation member Tiffany Young on her upcoming marriage.
On the 16th, a press conference for the Genie TV original drama Idol I took place at The Saint in D-Cube City, Guro-gu, Seoul. Director Lee Kwang-young and actors Choi Sooyoung and Kim Jae-young attended the event.
Idol I is a mystery courtroom romance about star lawyer Maeng Sena (played by Choi Sooyoung), a passionate fan, who takes on the case of her favorite idol Do Ra-ik (played by Kim Jae-young), accused of murder.
On the 13th, reports emerged that Girls’ Generation member Tiffany Young would marry actor Byun Yohan next fall. The couple later confirmed they are dating with marriage in mind, drawing significant attention.
Sooyoung, who has been in a long-term relationship with actor Jung Kyungho for 14 years, expressed her happiness about Tiffany’s marriage, saying, “It’s truly joyful news and something we all want to support,” as she offered her congratulations.
She added, “In my life, my closest friends are the Girls’ Generation members. Whatever choice Tiffany makes, it’s a cause for celebration,” while also noting some caution about commenting further at the event.
Meanwhile, Idol I will premiere on Monday, the 22nd, at 10 PM on KT Genie TV and will also air on ENA. It will be available on Netflix.
