The new tvN weekend drama ‘How to Become a Building Owner in Korea’ (referred to as ‘Building Owner’), set to premiere on March 14, is ready to captivate audiences. A ‘casting teaser’ video, featuring an impressive lineup of Ha Jung-woo, Im Soo-jung, Kim Jun-han, Jung Soo-jung, and Shim Eun-kyung, has been unveiled, heightening expectations.

‘Building Owner’ is a suspense drama about a struggling building owner deeply in debt who joins a fake kidnapping scheme to protect his cherished family and building. Set against the backdrop of South Korea, often called a real estate republic, the drama combines intense suspense with the actors’ remarkable performances, promising an engrossing experience.

The recently released teaser video excites drama fans with the unique combination of Ha Jung-woo, Im Soo-jung, Kim Jun-han, Jung Soo-jung, and Shim Eun-kyung. It also highlights the differing interests of the characters surrounding the building.

Ha Jung-woo, playing Ki Soo-jong, a building owner who has ‘over-leveraged himself’ (Korean slang for ‘yeongkkeul’ – borrowing every last penny), makes the intriguing comment, “Being a building owner isn’t as easy as it seems.” Im Soo-jung, portraying his wife Kim Sun, expresses concern, saying, “It’s been a while since we put it on the market.” Ki Soo-jong’s close friend Min Hwal-seong, played by Kim Jun-han, shows subtle interest by asking, “Want to sell the building to me?” Min Hwal-seong’s wife Jeon Yi-kyung, played by Jung Soo-jung, nonchalantly remarks, “What’s the issue with money?” Meanwhile, Shim Eun-kyung, in her role as Yona, the mysterious executor of capital, proposes a deal with, “30 billion, is that okay?” piquing curiosity about how the characters’ tangled desires will unfold.

Most notably, the tagline “Curious about the last lifeline for an extraordinary life turnaround?” stirs intense curiosity. It prompts viewers to wonder what it truly takes to become a building owner in Korea and what challenges await. As a dark basement door opens, hinting at impending peril, anticipation for the premiere builds.
