IU made a striking entrance as the top student at a royal school.
In the first episode of MBC’s Friday-Saturday drama ’21st Century Grand Princess’, which aired on the 10th, top student Sung Hee-joo was introduced.
Sung Hee-joo, portrayed by IU, entered as the first-place winner. She confidently addressed Ryoo Min-seok, who placed second, stating, “You claimed you would win, but you lost again.”
Min-seok responded, “Fools are easily swayed by trivial things,” prompting Hee-joo to coolly remark, “Was this exam difficult for you? It wasn’t hard for me at all. If you lost, accept it gracefully. Stop embarrassing yourself.”
After being called “arrogant for someone not even noble,” Hee-joo fiercely retorted, “Watch your mouth, you noble scum! Do you want another penalty? Go ahead and try me, Min-seok.”
She continued, “How can you not win even once, despite being noble?” adding, “Your uniform is a disgrace!” Her words highlighted her unyielding spirit against the limitations of social class, drawing significant attention.
