Actors Kim Go-eun and Kim Jae-won are set to reignite viewers’ romantic interest with their “hate-to-love chemistry” in ‘Yumi’s Cells Season 3.’
Set to premiere on April 13, the TVING original ‘Yumi’s Cells Season 3’ has released new couple stills of Yumi (played by Kim Go-eun) and Soon-rok (played by Kim Jae-won), heightening anticipation.
Returning after four years, ‘Yumi’s Cells Season 3’ follows Yumi, now a famous writer, as she experiences unexpected emotions when an unforeseen person disrupts her calm life, bringing forth laughter, tears, and love.
Anticipation is high, with Kim Go-eun perfectly portraying Yumi, joined by trending young actor Kim Jae-won, and the return of trusted director Lee Sang-yeob and writers Song Jae-jung and Kim Kyung-ran.
The unveiled couple stills capture the heart-fluttering eye contact between Yumi, a star writer still navigating the complexities of love, and Soon-rok, a producing director (PD) with a sweet demeanor who isn’t afraid to deliver blunt truths.
In one scene, Yumi and Soon-rok share an umbrella in the pouring rain. The sight of the umbrella tilted towards Yumi, Soon-rok’s soaked shoulder, and their exchanged glances are expected to raise viewers’ heartbeats. Another still shows them making eye contact on a sun-drenched railway, promising captivating sweet chemistry.
Most notably, the unpredictable romance between Yumi and Soon-rok, which blossoms from an initial dislike, is expected to awaken viewers’ dormant romantic senses.
Yumi, whose heart begins to race again after meeting Soon-rok during her otherwise mundane life following writing success, contrasts with Soon-rok, typically a low-energy homebody who becomes lively when he is with Yumi. Their exciting transformations are stirring curiosity.

Meanwhile, ‘Yumi’s Cells Season 3’ will be exclusively pre-released with two episodes every Monday at 6 PM on TVING, starting April 13. It will also air on tvN every Monday and Tuesday at 8:50 PM.
