Singer and actor Lee Junho returns as a relatable superhero with extraordinary abilities.
On the morning of the 22nd, a press conference for the Netflix series ‘Cashierro’ was held at a hotel in Gangnam, Seoul. Attendees included director Lee Chang-min and actors Lee Junho, Kim Hye-jun, Kim Byung-chul, Kim Hyang-gi, Lee Chae-min, and Kang Han-na, with Park Kyung-lim serving as the MC.
‘Cashierro’ is a superhero story based on the webtoon of the same name, centered on Kang Sang-woong (played by Lee Junho), a salaryman struggling with wedding and housing expenses. He gains a power that intensifies with the amount of money he possesses, leading to a dilemma between covering daily expenses and utilizing his new abilities.
Lee Junho, who portrays the uniquely flawed hero Kang Sang-woong, described his character: “He’s an ordinary public servant who was about to marry when he suddenly inherited a power from his father, which only works in proportion to the money in his hand. He’s in a situation where he must save money, but every time he uses his power for others, it depletes his funds, creating a daily dilemma.”
He added, “The greatest dilemma appears in the ending of the first episode. Personally, the ending really resonates with the themes the show wants to convey and with Sang-woong’s voice.”
Lee Junho also noted, “Gradually, he realizes he’s driven by something beyond money – it’s about the heart. We tried to include this pivotal change over time.”
Meanwhile, ‘Cashierro’ will be released on Netflix on the 26th.
