Disney+’s original series ‘Made in Korea’ has claimed the top spot as the most-watched Korean original content globally among all Korean originals released on Disney+ in 2025, reaffirming its strong international appeal.

‘Made in Korea’ is set in the 1970s, a turbulent yet transformative era in South Korea. The series follows Baek Ki-tae (played by Hyun Bin), a man who seeks to reach the pinnacle of wealth and power by treating the nation as a business model, and prosecutor Jang Geon-young (played by Jung Woo-sung), who relentlessly pursues Baek to the brink as they confront the era’s momentous events.

According to Disney+’s official metrics, ‘Made in Korea’ secured the top spot as the most-watched Korean original content globally among titles released on Disney+ in 2025, within 48 days of its debut, underscoring its overwhelming cinematic presence as an irreplaceable series.

The series had previously secured the number one spot for viewership among Korean originals released on Disney+ in 2025, both in South Korea and the Asia-Pacific region. This achievement further highlighted its explosive popularity and its continued unstoppable success on the global stage.

Even 48 days after its release, ‘Made in Korea’ continues to receive rave reviews.
