Park Seo-joon is creating buzz with his portrayal of a realistic boyfriend in the drama ‘Waiting for Kyungdo,’ which captures the delicate nuances of his character.
Premiering on December 6, the JTBC weekend drama ‘Waiting for Kyungdo’ features Park Seo-joon as lead character Lee Kyung-do. He mesmerizes viewers with his portrayal of daily life, spanning his college freshman days to his current status as a working professional.

In episodes 1 and 2, Park Seo-joon showcases a sweet and innocent romance with his first love, Seo Ji-woo (played by Won Ji-an). His portrayal includes moments of surprise at Ji-woo’s unpredictable nature, capturing the essence of a charming, nerdy boyfriend. Nostalgic elements like MP3 players, wired earbuds, and Sung Si-kyung’s song ‘Two People’ playing in the background, along with scenes set in university campus locations, evoke memories of the past, completing the youth romance mood.
A representative from the drama commented, “Park Seo-joon excels at capturing the details of ordinary life.” They added, “For the character Lee Kyung-do, who spans from his 20s to 30s, Park Seo-joon was deeply involved in discussing emotions and actions scene by scene, earning the character much praise comparable to his previous roles in ‘Fight for My Way’ as Go Dong-man and ‘Itaewon Class’ as Park Sae-ro-yi, which also featured relatable elements.”

Following the airing of the first two episodes, viewers praised Park by saying, “Park Seo-joon truly shines in romantic roles,” “He fits the nerdy charm perfectly,” and “The fresh college romance scenes are too endearing,” amongst other positive reviews.
Park Seo-joon’s ‘Waiting for Kyungdo’ airs every Saturday at 10:40 PM and Sunday at 10:30 PM.
