‘Lady Dua’ star Shin Hye-sun discussed the reactions to her latest work.
A roundtable interview with Shin Hye-sun, star of Netflix’s original series ‘Lady Dua’, took place at a cafe in Samcheong-dong, Jongno-gu, Seoul on the afternoon of the 20th.
‘Lady Dua’ narrates the story of Sara Kim (played by Shin Hye-sun), a woman who yearned to be a luxury brand even if fake, and Moo-Kyung (played by Lee Jun-hyuk), a man pursuing her desires.
In its first week of release, ‘Lady Dua’ entered the Top 10 in 38 countries and ranked third in the non-English category, showcasing its global reach.
Shin Hye-sun joked about the reception, saying, “Before I could even check the reactions to the series, I received so many calls that I thought it was my birthday.”
She added, “During the holidays, I received more messages praising the series than New Year’s greetings, which was surprising. It felt like I was a debutante receiving so many congratulatory messages.”
She further shared, “Instead of hearing \’I enjoyed watching it,\’ I received more \’Congratulations,\’ which made me feel even happier.”
