Netflix’s dating reality show ‘Single’s Inferno’ Season 5 promises to be the most exciting season yet.
Premiering worldwide on the 20th, ‘Single’s Inferno’ is a bold and candid dating reality show set on a remote island, ‘Inferno Island’, where participants can only leave by becoming a couple.
Following the release of the main poster showcasing the visuals of the singles, there is growing anticipation for this fifth season. PD Kim Jae-won stated, “The biggest driving force that brought ‘Single’s Inferno’ to its fifth season is the love from the viewers,” expressing excitement for the first Korean entertainment show on Netflix to reach its fifth season.
MCs Hong Jin-kyung, Lee Da-hee, Hanhae, Kyuhyun, and Dex have collectively described Season 5 as an “insane season.” PD Kim Jung-hyun also highlighted the season’s uniqueness, stating, “This season features more central figures than any other. Instead of concentrating on one or two charismatic participants, diverse characters each present their own intriguing storylines, similar to the multi-cast film ‘Love Actually’.”
The previously released tagline, ‘The War of Dangerous Flirting,’ further raises expectations for bolder and more straightforward singles. PD Park Soo-ji emphasized that “the one element ‘Single’s Inferno’ can never forgo is the nature of its participants,” adding that “the typical contestant on ‘Single’s Inferno’ remains the apex predator of the dating market.”
Notably, Season 5 boasts the most attractive singles to date. Kim noted, “Through the ‘Maggie Survival’ format introduced last season, we realized that having more contestants could be beneficial, as viewers tend to root for different participants.” He added, “The effect was truly remarkable. This season made us realize that Korea has many individuals with the potential to become reality stars.”
From intense emotional clashes to deep and tender romances, along with unexpected twists and turns, the complex emotional narratives of the singles consistently captivate viewers each season. This season once again promises immersive stories more dramatic than any fictional drama, thanks to the skilled production team’s efforts to update new ’emotional trigger’ devices.
PD Kim Jae-won remarked, “We aimed to amplify the concept of self-sufficiency on an uninhabited island from the early seasons. We particularly focused on making the island truly live up to its name, ‘Inferno Island’.” He added, “Not only has the number of participants increased, but the excitement and entertainment have also grown proportionally.”
The fifth season of ‘Single’s Inferno’ will be available on Netflix starting the 20th.
