‘Squid Game’ secured its third award at the Critics’ Choice Awards.

Netflix original series ‘Squid Game’ Season 3 received the Best Foreign Language Series award in the TV category at the 31st Critics’ Choice Awards, held January 4 (local time) at Barker Hangar in Santa Monica, California.

Previously, ‘Squid Game’ made history by winning the Best Foreign Language Series award in the TV category at the 2022 Critics’ Choice Awards with Season 1, making it the first Korean drama to receive this honor. Lead actor Lee Jung-jae also became the first Korean actor to win Best Actor in a Drama Series.

Last year, ‘Squid Game’ Season 2 also received the Best Foreign Language Series award.

The series’ final installment, Season 3, premiered last June. It focused on Gi-hun (played by Lee Jung-jae), who re-entered the game with his own agenda, losing his best friend in the process. The season also delved into the story of the Frontman (played by Lee Byung-hun), who infiltrated the game in disguise, and the ultimate fates of the participants who survived the brutal competition.
