In ‘Taxi Driver 3,’ Lee Je-hoon returns to a military base.
In the 15th episode of the SBS Friday-Saturday drama ‘Taxi Driver 3,’ which aired on the 9th, Kim Do-gi (played by Lee Je-hoon) returns to the military base after hearing about the mysterious death of Yu Seon-a (played by Jeon So-ni), a subordinate he valued deeply during his service.

In the episode, Kim Do-gi couldn’t hide his joy at the sudden visit of Park Jae-won (played by Kim Seo-ha). Park Jae-won was one of Kim Do-gi’s cherished subordinates from their time in service alongside Yu Seon-a.
Kim Do-gi, curious about his well-being, asked Park Jae-won, “How is Sergeant Yoo doing? I hope to see him again after so long.” Park Jae-won replied, “I thought you hadn’t heard. Sergeant Yu Seon-a died. I actually came to gather signatures for a petition regarding her death,” a revelation that shocked Kim Do-gi.
Kim Do-gi, shedding tears in front of Yu Seon-a’s memorial, decided to return to the military base. The Rainbow Heroes began tracking Kim Do-gi, whose contact had been suddenly lost, and learned about Yu Seon-a in the process.
Ahn Go-eun (played by Pyo Ye-jin) revealed, “According to records, he died in an explosion while deserting from the training site. He was posthumously dishonorably discharged as a private after disciplinary action.”
Jang Sung-cheol (played by Kim Eui-sung) remarked, “It seems strange. It’s rare to demote multiple ranks at once, regardless of the disciplinary action,” and questioned, “It’s likely Kim disappeared because of this event, but is it right for us to search for him now?”
Park Joo-im (played by Bae Yoo-ram) added, “Judging from the fact that he abandoned his phone, Kim Do-gi didn’t disappear; he left on his own. Perhaps he doesn’t want to be found.”

However, Kim Do-gi sent a beeper message, and the Rainbow Heroes decided to find and help him in their own ways at the military base. Kim Do-gi joined the base under the guise of investigating natural monuments. However, the colonel doubted Kim Do-gi and Park Jae-won, shadowing their activities.
Kim Do-gi informed Park Jae-won, “I’ve seen the internal military disciplinary report on Sergeant Yoo. It states that during training, he abandoned his detachment, drove a weapons truck, and headed north. Unauthorized departure from the training site, weapon theft, and attempted contact with a northern agent resulted in his demotion by three ranks.”
He continued, “Could Sergeant Park manage that? Stealing strategic weapons with a truck and reaching out to northern agents, all within a week of arrival. Even I don’t think I could do it. Meet quietly with the soldiers who served with Sergeant Yoo. And is it common for field-grade officers to be stationed in temporary units nowadays?”
Park Jae-won replied, “That also seemed odd. Isn’t it unusual for the colonel to use the barracks instead of his quarters?”
The colonel realized that Kim Do-gi and Park Jae-won were not investigating monuments and angrily asked Kim Do-gi, “If you came to investigate birds, why are you snooping around a dead person? Why are you investigating a traitor!?”
In response, Kim Do-gi asked, “How did you know about the deal with the north? You weren’t there,” to which the colonel replied, “It’s obvious when he stops an operation on his own during a mission, disobeys orders to bring soldiers back, and drives weapons north. I warned you not to act as if this were your home. So, what’s your real purpose here, and who sent you?”
Kim Do-gi and Park Jae-won retraced Yu Seon-a’s steps from that day to uncover the truth. Kim Do-gi stated, “Sergeant Yoo didn’t go north to sell weapons. His return was blocked, leaving no option but to seek another route. He must have done what he could when his retreat had been cut off.”
Kim Do-gi discovered Yu Seon-a’s dying message and tearfully revealed, “Sergeant Yu sacrificed himself to save his comrades.”
