Wavve Original ‘Concrete Market’ Unveils First Three Episodes Today

‘Concrete Market’ is releasing its first three episodes today at 11 a.m. The Wavve Original series is a disaster drama set in the only surviving apartment building after a massive earthquake. It portrays individuals striving to establish a new order in Huang Gung Market as they fight for survival.

Episodes 1 through 3 vividly depict humanity’s regression to a brutal age post-disaster, as they initiate trade for survival and build a new civilization within the world of Huang Gung Market.

Hee-ro, a typical high school student portrayed by Lee Jae-in, enters Huang Gung Market in a bid for survival. The sudden death of her old friend, Se-jeong (played by Choi Jung-woon), with whom she reunites there, shatters Hee-ro’s aspirations and compels her to ascend to the 9th floor. Meanwhile, Tae-jin, who revered Sang-yong (Jung Man-sik) as a father figure, accepts Hee-ro’s perilous proposition, forming a precarious alliance. Despite their mutual suspicion, their collaboration creates fissures in Tae-jin’s unwavering convictions, leading to unpredictable developments.

Starting from the lowest first floor and aiming for the pinnacle of power on the 9th floor, Hee-ro quickly distinguishes herself within Tae-jin’s organization, eventually drawing the attention of top authority Sang-yong. Concurrently, Cheol-min, coveting the market’s hegemony, closely observes the relationship between Hee-ro and Tae-jin, exploiting any power vacuums. As the narrative progresses through the various floors, their alliance and conflict intensify, shaking the established order of the market and delivering breathtaking suspense.

While episodes 1 through 3 are already captivating viewers, episodes 4 through 7 of ‘Concrete Market’ will be exclusively available on Wavve starting the 30th.
