Rapper Zico praised the team battle stage on ‘Show Me the Money 12.’
The fifth episode of Mnet and TVING’s ‘Show Me the Money 12,’ aired on the 12th, featured the second round of the ‘Hell Song Camp,’ a 4:4 team mission involving 40 survivors.
For the 4:4 team mission, ten leaders selected by producers (including Trayb, Milli, Oxynova, Doubledown, Raffsandou, Chiochicano, GENE THE ZILLA, Flicky Bang, Kim Ha-on, and Jeong Jun-hyuk) chose three team members each, forming ten teams. Teams with the same beat competed against each other. All members of the winning team advanced, while half of the losing team’s members were eliminated, adding tension to the competition.
The mission featured five beats, with producers contributing to each. The match between Jeong Jun-hyuk’s team and Doubledown’s team on Zico’s beat resulted in Jeong Jun-hyuk’s team emerging victorious, showcasing teamwork under pressure. Flicky Bang’s team, performing on Hercky Shibaseki’s beat, overtook Chiochicano’s team with a catchy hook in ‘Ghost’ and solid team harmony. Milli’s team delivered a detailed execution of Crush’s complex beat, achieving a decisive win against Oxynova’s team.
Another highly anticipated match followed. The battle between Trayb’s team and Raffsandou’s team on LIL MOSHPIT’s beat attracted the producers’ attention. While Trayb’s team crafted a hook immediately upon hearing the beat, Raffsandou’s team, led by Raffsandou and Jeffrey White, presented a polished stage and clinched the final victory.

Producers then evaluated the team performances. Zico, in particular, commented on Jeong Jun-hyuk’s team, which performed with his beat, saying, “This is a stage you can’t pay to see. I’ve realized how narrow my world was. I’ve learned a lot.” Other producers also praised the performances, saying, “It felt like watching a real concert,” and “The fact that they prepared the stage together in such a short time was impressive.”
Shocking eliminations also took place. The much-anticipated Oxynova team faced criticism for their “hook that lowered the stage quality” and “strategic error,” leading to their defeat. Team members Goo Bon-gyeom, Modo, Maisonhome, Vice Versa, Lee Woo-joo, Young Harry, Young Blessy, Willa, Clutch, and JB left the stage following their team’s loss.
Meanwhile, ‘Show Me the Money 12’ airs every Thursday at 9:20 PM KST on Mnet and TVING.
