Nine members of The Boyz, excluding New, announced the termination of their exclusive contract with their agency, One Hundred Label.

On the 19th, Kim Moon-hee, a lawyer from Yulchon LLC representing The Boyz, issued an official press release stating, “The Boyz notified One Hundred Label of the termination of their exclusive contract on February 10, 2026, due to a significant breach of contract and irreparable damage to the trust relationship. The contract was lawfully terminated and is no longer in effect.”

According to lawyer Kim, the agency failed to properly compensate the artists for all activities beginning in July 2025, following the second quarter of 2025 audit.

Kim explained, “The artists requested basic documents such as contracts multiple times to verify the transparency of settlements, but the management refused without justification, neglecting their fundamental management responsibilities.”

He continued, “Recent media reports revealed that the agency received substantial upfront payments based on the artists’ activities, yet the artists have not received any compensation. The agency provided no reasonable explanation or accountability for this.”

Kim added, “The psychological distress and pressure the artists endured in an environment where even fundamental support was cut off was immense.” He stated they concluded the trust relationship was beyond repair, leading to the difficult decision to terminate the contract.

Nonetheless, the artists decided to proceed with their April concert to prevent any harm to fans, partners, or other innocent third parties.

Meanwhile, One Hundred Label, responding to the contract termination demand, cited Joo Haknyeon’s departure last year and stated they cannot accept the members’ requests, having made efforts to maintain group activities while persuading impacted partners and accepting significant deficits.

Additionally, regarding support such as vehicles, managers, and practice rooms, the agency claimed to have maintained the same level of support but said the members initially rejected it.

Below is the full statement from Kim Moon-hee, the lawyer representing The Boyz, from Yulchon LLC.

Hello, I am Kim Moon-hee from Yulchon LLC.
Representing The Boyz members Sangyeon, Jacob, Younghoon, Hyunjae, Juyeon, Kevin, Q, Sunwoo, and Eric (hereinafter referred to as “the artists”), we are delivering their official stance on the termination of their exclusive contract and their future activities.

The artists notified One Hundred Label (hereinafter referred to as “the agency”) on February 10, 2026, of the contract termination due to a significant breach of contract and resulting irreparable damage to the trust relationship. The contract was lawfully terminated and is no longer in effect.

The agency has not provided proper compensation to the artists for their activities since July 2025 following the audit of the second quarter of 2025. Moreover, despite multiple requests to view basic documents to verify the transparency of settlements, the agency refused without just cause, neglecting their basic management obligations.

Furthermore, recent media reports revealed that the agency received substantial upfront payments for the artists’ activities. Yet, the agency has not provided any responsible clarification or plausible explanation for the current situation where the artists have not been compensated.

Despite prolonged uncertainty, the artists continued their activities to honor commitments to fans. However, the agency not only failed to support essential costs for their activities but also delayed payments for the dedicated staff for several months, effectively abandoning normal management duties.

The artists endured severe psychological distress and pressure in an environment where even basic support was cut off. Concluding that they could no longer ignore or continue this situation, they made the distressing decision to terminate the contract when the mutual trust relationship was shattered beyond repair.

Nevertheless, the artists agreed no harm should be passed on to fans, partners, or other innocent third parties due to this incident. Therefore, they decided to proceed with the scheduled April concert, and they promise to diligently fulfill all confirmed schedules with responsibility. To repay fans’ love, they will do their utmost in team activities and individually.

Meanwhile, member New personally decided to maintain the contract, having consulted closely with the other artists regarding this matter. The artists respect each member’s decision, and The Boyz will explore various options for the best interest of the team and fans, cooperating within the necessary range in the future.

Lastly, regarding this matter, we sincerely request refraining from speculative reports or baseless rumors. Please offer warm encouragement and continued support for the members as they continue to do their best in their respective roles. Thank you.
