Just two days before BTS’s concert, Gwanghwamun Square is rapidly transforming into a performance venue.

BTS (RM, V, J-Hope, Suga, Jin, Jungkook, Jimin) will host the ‘BTS Comeback Live: ARIRANG’ at Gwanghwamun Square in Seoul on the 21st. The hour-long event is set to begin at 8 PM. This live performance, a special offering for fans, follows the release of their 5th album ‘ARIRANG’ at 1 PM on the 20th.

The free concert will offer both standing and reserved seating. Movement in areas outside the designated viewing zone will be restricted in accordance with onsite safety management guidelines. Furthermore, traffic around Gwanghwamun Square will be controlled to ensure the concert’s smooth operation and public safety.

In anticipation of this global fan event, Gwanghwamun Square is being transformed. On the 19th, preparations, including seating installations, were visible, and nearby displays showcased videos related to BTS’s performance.

Additionally, notices announcing ‘Crackdown on BTS Gwanghwamun Concert Ticket Scalping in Progress’ have been posted, and portable toilets for concertgoers are now in place.

However, the event has not been without complications. The city of Seoul and the police are dedicating extensive resources to BTS’s comeback live. As roads around Gwanghwamun are being controlled, some local residents have reported disruptions to delivery services. Furthermore, access to 31 buildings around Gwanghwamun Square will be restricted, and nearby businesses have been advised to close, prompting complaints from citizens.

The BTS comeback performance, meanwhile, will be broadcast live on Netflix.
